Submissions to Saltgate Art

Welcome to Saltgate Art. We're looking forward to seeing your work or hearing about your workshop or event.

The purpose of Saltgate Art is to promote high quality contemporary art in Beccles and Suffolk. Building a creative community through exhibitions, live events, classes and music. We'd love you to get involved, so if you're an Artists or Craftsperson, would like to host an art or craft lesson or hold an event, please get in touch.

We're open to submission all year but plan to hang new work in the Gallery every three months. The next deadline for new gallery submissions is 23rd July 2024.

We aim to sell works for our artists but there is also the opportunity for those wanting to show work which is not for sale.  Commission on all artworks is 20%.

There will be a £15 charge on accepted Arts and crafts submissions to cover administration and hanging.

Artist, workshops or events must have their own insurance in place. If you're an artist that doesn't currently have Insurance for your practice then the simplest way to do this is to join Artists Newsletter for an annual fee of £38 which includes insurance for individual artist practitioners.
